Client Background.

In 2019, FinTech Wales was established as a not-for-profit organisation. It aims to promote and empower FinTech and Financial Services startups, scale-ups and enterprises in Wales and to strengthen the UK economy as a result. As part of our wider work with the organisation, and our work helping UK FinTechs to grow, we were a perfect fit to create the new website for FinTech Wales.

Our Solution, Built in WordPress.

As one of the founding members of FinTech Wales, we were set to understand the needs of the organisation. Following further strategy work to determine website architecture, user journey and a content plan, we began creating a design that would be reflective of both finance and technology. It was important to consciously steer clear of feeling too ‘finance’, since FinTech is anything but old school.

Once the design was agreed, we worked to develop the site using the WordPress content management platform. The front-end development approach was mobile-first, ensuring the best experience is achieved across all devices, followed by back-end development that places focus on ongoing content management.

The result of our hard work and careful thinking, is a website that the organisation’s advisory panel are proud to use to represent with, creating a platform for future growth and a credible presence for FinTech Wales both in the UK and internationally.

Content Management in WordPress.

Understanding that in a fast-paced industry, things can change and grow quickly. Thankfully the FinTech Wales website benefits from a custom content management setup in WordPress using Post Types and Custom Fields, two things that the platform does well to allow for flexibility and future-proofing when running a website.
