We’ve got some great news to share this week as the Cardiff WordPress Meetup is revived to help benefit those in our city who love and use the world’s most popular content management platform. It’s brought to you by members of our team, as well as individuals from other agencies and brands who use the platform.
The announcement of the Meetup’s rebirth comes as part of 2019 Cardiff Design Festival, three days of exciting talks and events across our city to celebrate all that’s happening in the creative and digital sectors.
Tell me more…
The festival itself is held at different venues and by different organisers who are passionate about the design community in our city. It seems the perfect opportunity to involve WordPress and to be talking about the impact that UX design has on the digital world.
Headline speaker at this event will be our very own founder and MD, Scott Jones, who’ll be sharing his experience of implementing UX design in the agency and focussing on delivering a quality solution to our clients.
Design can sometimes be overlooked and underestimated in the creative process, even shoehorned into a ‘web design’ box as part of the one big process. But we believe things should be done differently and that a focus on the experience a user will have with a website or software should come first.
So what can I expect from the event?
The WordPress Meetup in Cardiff is an inclusive, arms-wide-open community of people who are involved in using WordPress for work, pleasure or both. The event will start out with some socialising over pizza and beers, followed by a welcome, the headline speaker and then updates in the world of WordPress and other events.
Best thing… the event is completely free.
Great, how do I get involved?
You can book into the event via the official Meetup page, but tickets are limited so act fast: https://www.meetup.com/Cardiff-WordPress-Meetup/events/264532246/
