About

Rachel is a UX designer at Illustrate Digital. She loves learning about why people interact with systems and how to create aesthetically pleasing designs that meet user needs.

Always enthusiastic, Rachel loves to help people and this drives her passion for user experience. A big part of the UX design role is conducting user research and using the findings to design intuitive interfaces that make users’ lives easier. Here, Rachel’s warm personality and friendly demeanour are instantly reassuring, something that goes a long way in speaking to our customers and their end-users.

Rachel joined the team after completing a university degree, which focused on digital media, web design and development. Since then, she has been interested in developing her design skills and learning more about the psychology behind user experience. She believes that understanding why people interact with systems in certain ways is essential to creating interfaces that are both appealing and effective.

Rachel also loves spending her free time reading books, playing video games and being creative in other ways.

At the moment, she’s quite into rug making – a new hobby that is both creative and brilliantly intriguing. Not only is it a fun way to spend her time, but it’s also teaching her a lot about patience, precision and creativity. She’s really enjoying the process of designing and making her own rugs, and can’t wait to see how they turn out.
