Well… I never thought I’d be writing this blog post, but here I am!
Today is the day we’re waving goodbye to our legendary Technical Director, Kyle.
He’s served by my side for the last 4 years and helped to grow our agency into what it is today. And what a guy…
Whaaaat?
Yep! To some I guess this’ll come as a surprise, but it’s actually a decision we’ve been chatting through over the last couple of months and ended up with a tough decision that Kyle’s best served outside of agency life. Ultimately, and truthfully, he’s realised that his purpose lies elsewhere and that now’s the time to release Illustrate to run head-first into 2018. Which is pretty awesome if you ask me.
We’ve all got the same goal – to build incredible sites and build an agency we can be proud of (even one you’ll not be part of anymore); Kyle’s decided that moving on and moving forward is the best way to allow this to happen for Illustrate. It also gives him the time and space to focus on his other passions and responsibilities, including his family.
Of course it’s always sad to see one of our own go, but it’s encouraging to be freeing up Kyle to pursue his purpose and passions!
As a friend, coworker and shareholder of the agency Kyle has been an incredibly important part of our growth. Naturally we have supported him through this process at every stage and have worked for the best, smoothest transition for his role.
Both myself and the rest of the team are incredibly thankful and appreciative of the time he’s given, the passion he’s brought and the values he’s shared with us along the way.
In his own words.
“I would like to thank everyone who I have met through Illustrate for the great experiences, memories and opportunities during my time here. I am leaving to pursue the life that I want to lead and to be able to spend the quality time I need with my family and allow time to pursue my other life passions. I sincerely wish you all the best of luck and a fruitful future with Scott and the team.”
And we’re all alright?
Yeahhhh! Actually, we’ve worked hard to retain the good workflow, process and project pipeline that we’ve built over the past months and years. We’re not gonna go letting our clients down now, are we! 😉
Except from missing a huge bowtie collection and a wide range of anecdotes ready for any occasion, as a team we remain strong and stable hot on it and our agency continues to grow, having also just confirmed the hire of our latest mid-level WordPress developer, Steve (what a dude).
Officially, the transition for Kyle happens (today as I publish this post) on the 22nd of December 2017.
So what now?
Well, we crack on! We’ll be starting the 2018 with a great kick-off and already have some brilliant projects ready to begin.
