Liberty came to us at Illustrate Digital with an existing site that was beginning to fall behind their fresh and youthful feel. They were looking for something new and a design that would match their new brand guidelines. Their existing WordPress site was quite out of date in the back-end, providing only static sections for editing content and, as content creators, they were looking for something much more flexible that would allow them to create their own pages quickly and easily.
What We Did.
So we got to work. Starting with the production of wireframes to better understand the structure of the website and its future content, we then moved onto creating mockups to incorporate the new brand guidelines. The feel of the new designs are so fresh and perfectly reflect Liberty’s personality as a brand and as a team.
After hearing that they were over the moon with their designs, it was ready to crack on with development. First up was our front-end team, working on the visual side of things, bringing the designs to life in front-end code and following up with browser compatibility testing and accessibility checks.
And finally our back-end team worked to make the magic happen, creating a flexible content management experience for Liberty’s marketing team. Using our experience of the WordPress platform and the Gutenberg editor we’ve created a site that allows them to create pages, insert pre-designed blocks and edit content to their heart’s content. There’s no need to come back to us every time a new page needs creating, with the new site they can create pages, choose their own content and publish with minimal hassle.
