If you would consider yourself to be detail oriented, organised and have a good understanding of tech and user experience, then this could be the perfect role for you.
We’re looking for someone to join the growing team at Illustrate Digital, someone who wants to get stuck in and help take us to the next level.
When considering this role, some of the key traits you may possess are:
- having good attention to detail and good at catching mistakes
- thriving when ticking off lists of tasks
- finding new ways to make things better
- being comfortable and constructive when delivering feedback to others
- taking pride in your work and the team you’re a part of
- maintaining social connection and good communication even virtually
About The Role
As a quality engineer at Illustrate Digital you’ll be responsible for checking and approving projects before they are deployed to our clients and their users. As a business that values excellence, it’s important that all of the work we produce is of the highest quality and standards, and so we consider this role as critical to our success.
Working as part of the production team you’ll know how to deliver clear and constructive feedback to the design and engineering teams, helping them to improve and sharpen their work.
In the early stages of projects you’ll work closely with the user experience team to test prototype designs and provide feedback against usability and accessibility best practices.
You’ll also be central to technical testing when the front-end and back-end engineering teams complete work on websites and software projects. These are key opportunities for feedback and for testing against predefined coding standards and ensuring the end user experience of our work aligns with the intended user stories.
The best person for this role is someone who believes in the importance of doing things well, to a high standard and who knows how to implement new processes to help their teammates to succeed.
About Illustrate Digital
We came together to form Illustrate Digital through a common frustration with the bad habits and lack of craftsmanship we were noticing had started to give the web industry a bad name. We’d like nothing more than to put an end to the all too common pain points experienced by brands with other agencies.
We’re here to be different, as an extension of a clients’ business, helping them to achieve their goals by sharing our expertise and backing them in driving to the next level.
Split across our offices in Bristol and Cardiff, as well a remote team across the UK, working as part of Illustrate Digital is a progressive and dynamic experience. We’re a social bunch who like to keep well connected and who thrive off a good amount of banter. Not forgetting to mention that we love producing great work that everyone on the team can be proud of.
Here are some of the perks and benefits of working with us:
- Flexible working hours
- Work from home or remotely
- An extra day of holiday for your birthday
- An extra week of holiday at Christmas
- Apple computer equipment provided
- Cycle Scheme available
- Company pension included
- Brilliant locations to work from in Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Bay
- Free tea and coffee at our office locations
- Lunch Club on Fridays (currently unavailable due to Covid restrictions)
- Periodic days out for fun and team building and food (currently unavailable due to Covid restrictions)
