FlowerBe is a brilliant start-up brand with a passion for delivering beautiful flowers to your home, helping you learn how to arrange the flowers for yourself. It’s a great concept with some stiff competition in the market! The team at Illustrate Digital were tasked with taking over and improving the existing website, built in WordPress with online sales powered by WooCommerce. Our first brief was to implement a robust maintenance schedule, second to improve on the existing infrastructure and finally to prepare the brand’s online presence for growth throughout the Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day sales periods.
What we did.
Clients come to us at Illustrate Digital for our experience in maintaining WordPress in the most secure and efficient ways, whilst ensuring that the business model stays uninterrupted. So naturally we got to work on putting our maintenance structure in place to look after this site, fixing some existing issues along the way and giving Sean, Li and the team at FlowerBe the confidence in their platform that they needed, to be able to lead the brand into its future.
The FlowerBe business model is quite unique, with various different subscription options available and very specific delivery schedules. To help sell the product in this unique way we needed to break the boundaries of the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin, coding on top of existing functionality to help customers choose their orders and delivery dates with ease.
Finally we’ve helped in designing, building and optimising sales pages to drive maximum revenue. To do this we created both front-end and back-end functionality for flexible order selection and checkout, working to constantly improve this as traffic flows into the website. More data drives more change and the changes drive results, which is always a nice bonus to doing good work!
